The founding of Okazaki Shoyu dates back to the Edo period when, in 1704 (Hoei 1st year), the Omi merchants from Shiga prefecture started a sake brewing business in Yabuzukahon-machi, Nitta District (present-day Ota City) in the Gunma prefecture and began brewing miso and shoyu. In 1923, we expanded to Shinmachi, Takasaki City and relocated our shoyu factory. One hundred years have passed since then, and we continue to operate in this location, currently manufacturing and selling processed foods such as liquid and powder seasonings.
